Snowden - Thriller
(Disillusioned with the intelligence community, top contractor Edward Snowden (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) leaves his job at the National Security Agency. He now knows that a virtual mountain of data is being assembled to track all forms of digital communication -- not just from foreign governments and terrorist groups, but from ordinary Americans. When Snowden decides to leak this classified information, he becomes a traitor to some, a hero to others and a fugitive from the law.)
This film is a very good thriller film as the film is bad don real life events and the success of this film was big as well as it made $8,000,058 (USA) (16 September 2016) in the opening weekend along with rave reviews.
Split - Thriller
(Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all of the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey, Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him -- as well as everyone around him -- as the walls between his compartments shatter.)
This film is also a successful thriller as this film made an amazing amount of $40,010,975 (USA) (20 January 2017)
This film is more on the scarier side of a thriller compared to Mechanic which is more on the action side of a thriller. 2017)20 January 2017)
Mechanic - Thriller
Living under cover in Brazil, master assassin Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) springs back into action after an old enemy (Sam Hazeldine) kidnaps the woman (Jessica Alba) he loves. To save her life, Bishop must kill an imprisoned African warlord, a human trafficker (Toby Eddington) and an arms dealer (Tommy Lee Jones), all while making the deaths look like accidents. When things don't go exactly as planned, Bishop turns the tables on the people who forced him out of retirement.
This is also a thriller film that produced $7,456,525 (USA) (26 August 2016) at the box office in its opening weekend. I like this film because it is a high adrenaline rush type of film with a lot of fast paced edit. This is a clear demonstration of what a thriller should look like because it is filled with high octane stuff.
